PEBBLE is starting a project to ensure that the next edition of the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) includes Pagan terminology.
The project has been started by Thorskegga Thorn, a Heathen active in PEBBLE, who has already submitted over 100 terms to the OED for consideration, and is looking at a further 250.
The Druid Network, as a partner organisation to PEBBLE, is looking to put together Druid terms for this project, and I'm looking for people with the time, skill and eagerness to get involved.
We can't simply send a list of words. Each word needs clear published evidence, in books or journals (not websties), to back up its validity as an ENGLISH word in current usage with the relevant definition that we give it.
Would you like to get involved? Send suggestions to The Druid Network, or let us know if you'd like to be part of a dedicated team putting together our submission. The sooner we do this, we more we can get into the dictionary.
